Glamour portrait my way: Translated
Picasso said: "Good artists copy, great artists steal."
I continuously study, copy and steal ideas from great photographers, I call this action 'translate'. To me, to translate means to take the language of a great portrait and write a new portrait in my own words but still tell a similar story 'the narrative'. The following are key words which I translate:
- General approach to creating the portrait.
- Composition and format.
- Post processing.
- General visual aspects.
The photographers I steal from are on left - when clicking o a photographer, I will display some of the photographers work, followed by how I translate them onto my own work.
